Facing two Canada Games back-to-back post-COVID, the Canada Games Council brought in Monogram to lead their signature Hall of Honour event, live at Niagara 2022 and PEI 2023, with a full brand overhaul touching every detail.

The Ask

Established in 2007, the Hall of Honour recognizes exceptional Canada Games (CGC) alumni and individuals who have sparked greatness by distinguishing themselves during the Canada Games and beyond, while contributing to the growth of the Canada Games Movement. The event hosts 250 people at Games-time, and includes all aspects of event management, from video production, to speech-writing, to logistics, event planning, media relations, VIP support-in both official languages.

Each year, six remarkable alumni are inducted into the Canada Games Hall of Honour. Facing a compounding of two Canada Games back-to-back post-covid, the Canada Games Council reached out to Monogram to lead two editions of their signature event, taking place live at Games: Niagara 2022 and PEI 2023. Our team worked in step with the CGC team, and overhauled the event and all design elements to match their new brand-down to the re-released awards themselves.

The Approach

All elements of the event, from MC speaking notes, to run of show, to decor, entertainment, food and rehearsals was managed by our team.  Monogram worked directly with the award-winners, their families and champions to produce 5 x 5 min acceptance videos, ensuring their stories were told with colour and emotion, we managed all VIP logistics from travel to speech-writing support, to gifting. Media relations was handled for all of Canada's major news networks.

FHBC engaged Monogram Communications to create and design their five-year strategic plan, ensuring it reflected their updated goals and strategies. The plan needed to resonate with all members and strengthen the organization’s presence and reach across the province.

Website, Media Launch, Community Engagement

The Canada Games Council engaged Monogram to lead the development and delivery of a national elementary school physical activity challenge that was innovative, inclusive, and engaging for students, educators, and parents alike.

CGC engaged Monogram Communications to provide creative and strategic support for its social media and newsletter content. The goal was to deliver consistent bilingual messaging, highlight campaign pillars, and maintain momentum across platforms in the lead-up to the Games.
