Experience Qalipu partnered with Monogram to shape an immersive visitor experience at Deer Lake Airport. One that welcomes travellers onto Indigenous land with context, care and clarity, while spotlighting Qalipu’s culture, stories and destination experiences.
Experience Qalipu is a Mi’kmaq-led tourism initiative that connects visitors with the culture, stories and landscapes of the Qalipu First Nation, while helping Indigenous tourism operators develop and promote authentic experiences. Through a partnership with the Deer Lake Airport Authority, Experience Qalipu wanted to create an immersive visitor experience that identified the Indigenous land and heritage, educated visitors, and promoted Qalipu destination experiences.
Monogram developed a cohesive visual and content strategy for the airport arrivals area, using high-impact graphics and storytelling to reach travellers at the moment of arrival. The work included environmental graphics, print, digital assets and an animated brand video. This was supported by a targeted paid and organic social strategy designed to extend the experience beyond the airport and throughout peak tourism season.
Monogram completed the following deliverables for Experience Qalipu:
An initiative to close skills gaps in the fisheries and oceans sector led the National Indigenous Fisheries Institute to approach Monogram Communications to develop an innovative brand identity and website for their new Indigenous Training and Skills Development Hub — one built not only to serve the sector today, but to be expanded and adapted as a model for Indigenous training and skills development in other industries.

For ʔEsdilagh First Nation, that meant reimagining their brand from the ground up and building a website as strong and welcoming as the community itself. Monogram helped Gitxaala Nation turn a year of achievement into a report worth reading. The result was a clear, accessible annual report for 2019/20 that highlights key milestones and makes them easy for the community to engage with.
As one of North America’s premier ski destinations and Canada’s second-largest ski area, Sun Peaks Resort needed a communications strategy that could keep pace with its scale. When the unexpected happens at a resort this size, the response has to be fast, clear and trusted. Monogram Communications partnered with Sun Peaks to build a Best Practices Guide for Crisis Communications, equipping the team to protect relationships before, during and after a crisis hits.
Carrier Sekani Family Services (CSFS) needed one place to bring its people together. CSFS approached Monogram to build a communications hub that shares organization-wide communiques, houses key institutional employee information and fosters an engaged community, both online and offline.
The launch of the Kulspai Learning Village called for more than a communications campaign; it required a thoughtful approach that honoured community values while engaging future partners. K5T (Kitselas Five Tier) partnered with Monogram Communications to help make that vision a reality.
