TDB Consultants Ltd. engaged Monogram to support internal and external communications during the acquisition of NorCan Consulting Ltd.

The Ask

TDB is a resource management company offering contracting and consulting services across a wide range of natural resource sectors.
TDB approached Monogram for support with internal and external communication, SEO and website copy updates, as well as updating marketing materials as they acquired NorCan Consulting Ltd.

The Approach

Monogram Communications led a coordinated, multi-channel communications approach to support TDB Consulting through the integration of a newly acquired company. The work focused on clarity, consistency and engagement across internal, external and digital communications.

  • Internal communications:
    • Developed a clear internal communications strategy to support leadership in preparing for the transition. This included drafting letters and emails for staff and clients, as well as creating a short video to reinforce key messages and encourage open dialogue.
  • External communications:
    • Strengthened TDB’s external presence by developing social copy for LinkedIn and the website’s About section, supported by photos and captions.
    • Monogram also pitched three media releases to industry-relevant publications and created an updated email signature featuring the new logo and acquisition announcement.
  • Website, SEO and marketing assets:
    • Conducted a website audit to identify content to retain, remove or refresh.
    • Enhanced written content across all pages using SEO-friendly keywords, and refreshed a marketing banner using existing branding, colours and locked and unlocked logos from both companies.
The Results

This work supported a smooth transition and helped build confidence among staff, clients and external audiences.

As a result of Monogram Communications’ efforts, TDB achieved:

  • Positive media coverage in the Prince George Citizen, increasing visibility and awareness of the company’s growth.

  • Strong internal sentiment, with 80% of employee survey respondents viewing the transition as a positive change and sharing thoughtful feedback, ideas and reflections.

  • Updated digital and marketing assets, including a refreshed website that reflected the new company structure, an updated email signature communicating the change, and refreshed marketing banners incorporating NorCan’s logo and services.
