Monogram partnered with the City of Quesnel to strengthen community engagement through clear, accessible communications. The collaboration continued with consultation support for new accessory dwelling unit designs focused on improving housing affordability.
Home to 10,000 residents and another 13,000 in the surrounding area, Quesnel offers affordable housing, short commutes, and accessible amenities that make it a thriving northern community. The City engaged Monogram to increase awareness and participation in community engagement for major strategic initiatives, later re-hiring us to support consultation on new accessory dwelling unit (ADU) designs.
The City of Quesnel needed to build stronger connections with residents through improved communication channels and more accessible consultation opportunities. Their goal was to encourage meaningful feedback on long-term projects, including ready-to-use ADU designs that would expand local affordable housing options.
We began with a comprehensive engagement audit and strategy:
Conducted a full review of communication channels and industry best practices
Launched the City’s new digital engagement platform, Let’s Connect Quesnel, powered by Bang the Table
Promoted the platform through an integrated campaign with digital ads, radio, video, and a launch event
Our work provided Quesnel with a sustainable foundation for long-term engagement:
A modern engagement platform adopted by the City for future consultations
Increased public participation and dialogue on affordable housing solutions
A trusted What We Heard Report that shaped final ADU design decisions
Expanded awareness of ready-to-use ADU designs through targeted outreach and campaign collateral
